Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Who would get the house if we owe about the same as it is worth (little or no equity or maybe even upside down). My wife couldnt afford to make the mortgage payment on her own but I could. She has one minor child from a previous marriage that lives with us and attends the local school. She has made the statement that she cant afford the house but doesnt want me to have it either.

If she cannot afford it, but you can, it is unlikely that she could prevent you from retaining possession.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options for this or any other contested issue. This is obviously a very important matter, and you should not go in alone.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gina or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
