You can't "make" anyone have custody of your child. However, if you desire to waive your parental rights--temporarily or permanently--and the father agrees, you can do that. Temporary would involve having a temporary guardianship set up. Permanent would involve you and your husband voluntarily terminating your parental rights, which would make way for his parents to become permanent guardians and ultimately adopt your child. Bes tof luck!
If they agree to such, Arizona does have a statute allowing custody by a non-parent. It would not have to be a Guardianship, but could be. Also, Arizona allows a 6 month "Power of Attorney" which would allow them all the same rights as a parent, but for only six months at a time. You could then renew it, or not..... your choice.
