Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

If husband signs a quit claim saying that a house is the wifes sole and seperate property and it is filed does that effect that asset if they should get divorced? Ive been told it is not a legal paper just a formality and will not hold up in divorce ? Is this true in Arizona ?

A quit claim deed is legal if it meets all requirements set forth by Arizona law. A valid quit claim deed is not just a formality. It is strong evidence that the house is wife's sole and separate property. Parties can convert the nature of community property during a marriage. The husband may challenge the instrument's validity, but if the deed is proper under Arizona law wife should get the house as her sole and separate property in the divorce.
