Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
My husbands ex wife , who I refused to meet ever since we've been married now for five months has been behaving hostile towards my husband. She is denying him privileges to see his son during his visitation periods , every other weekend. Shes denied him now for three weeks. She is stating that she has to meet me , his new wife, before allowing her son to come and stay the weekend with us.
At the same time, she isn't only denying him parenting time, but also controlling and requesting his work schedules, etc... Or swapping periods allowing him to see him and then the next weekend she won't allow him to see him. It's all a control factor. Does she legally have to meet me? Regardless of whether or not she gets along with me or has met me or not, shouldn't that all be irrelevant ? She is trying to state she doesnt trust me when she never even met me. They have legal joint custody, but she is the main or last decision maker according to the decree. Can we take her to court for this control and refusal of visitation arrangements? She clearly stated for my husband to bring th child home by 2, when his parental time isn't over until the evening. She threatened him if he doesn't bring him home she will make his life hell in an email.

She is clearly violating the Order and can be found in contempt. He must file a Petition with the court, as well as call the police for custodial interference when she withholds the child. If you have further concerns, we offer free consultations to discuss this matter at length.
