Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

My incapacitated father will be receiving a malpractice settlement due to the death of his father. Is my father's wife/guardian entitled to any of this settlement in Arizona? My father and his wife have been married 8 years.

It would be considered community property, as Arizona is a community property state. What that means is that if this married couple were to split up, the money would be shared equitably (approximately 50-50 or with other assets as offset). Otherwise, it's assumed the two will share it equally if they stay married.
