Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Insurance coverage

My divorce decree states that my ex husband will provide health and dental insurance for our 2 teen aged children. He Is no longer working for the company that was providing group coverage and is doing independent consulting. The health insurance he chose is terrible and is basically a catastrophic plan covering little to no preventative care and he states that the dental coverages he has found are worthless so he is not getting them coverage. He has told me that he will pay the first $160 of the dental bills each year and the rest we will split 60/40. We were supposed to split out of pocket expenses 60/40 AFTER insurance paid. Can he just choose to not have coverage and tell me what he is going to pay? My daughter needs her wisdom teeth out soon and this is very expensive without dental insurance.

Re: Insurance coverage

Typically the person ordered to pay health/dental insurance gets a credit on the child support worksheet. You need to review your worksheet. You can get quotes from insurance companies and send those to your ex-husband demanding that he secure the policies or you will seek enforcement of the decree.
