Normally, the order or parenting plan will include provisions regarding travel, including whether the parents are required to obtain written consent in advance or whether it is sufficient to exchange advance notice of the travel along with the itinerary and contact information. If your paperwork is silent on this provision, I recommend you consult with an attorney in your area to discuss your options.

I agree completely with the above answer from Monica. If there is no provision you may need to attend mediation on the issue, and then file a petition to modify.
