Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
I have joint legal custody of my two kids. My decree says that my x is designated as the primary residential custodian. It also says all parenting time transportation shall be the responsibility of both parents. She lives in Safford and I live in Phoenix now because I had to move recently for a job. This is the first weekend I am taking my kids with me and not staying in Safford for the weekend. She is refusing to meet me half way. She says her lawyer told her that since I moved away, I have to drive back and forth both ways entirely. Is this true? Even though my decree states equal? Thanks

You may need to seek an agreement or enforcement of your current orders. IF YOU MOVED in good faith, for reasonable reasons, I could still see a Judge ordering that the trael is shared equally. The problem is that SHE has the power right now, because if you do not provide the travel, you don't see your kids.
We could write a demand letter to her or her attorney for you to try to convince them to do the right thing. We also could initiate enforcement or modification proceedings if necessary.
We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options
