Thank you for your inquiry. In order to get an annulment, there must be some sort of legal impediment that renders the marriage "void" or "voidable." The fact that you were both very young or that the marriage was very short does not necessarily qualify. The process for annulment is similar to the process for a divorce, so even if you don't qualify to annul, you will still be able to terminate the marriage quickly and simply (as long as you both agree on everything).
It's difficult to explain the process in this limited space, but we offer a free initial consultation, so please feel free to call our office at 480.792.9770 to arrange a time that we can meet to discuss your options.
If both will agree to the annulment, thenn I do beleive you could obtain one.
We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options.
One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.
Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gloria or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation
