Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
Legal seperation
My husband took out thousands in loans and racked up a new credit card on a brothel in Vegas, all without me knowing. Our marriage took place and our new baby was born in AZ but I am staying with my parents in CA. Will I be liable for all his charges?

Re: Legal seperation
I agree with Mr. Johnson. If your name is on the cards then you would be jointly liable for the debt. In a separation/divorce the judge could assign the debt to your husband. If you are new resident to CA you will need to meet CA residency requirements if you are looking to start the dissolution process. You should consult an Attorney about this matter.

If your name is on the credit card account then you would be liable. However, the court can order him to pay these credit card debts. you should consult with an attorney regarding the dissoloutin of marriage and the debts he incurred.
