legal termination of child support

I reside in Arizona and was divorced in same state. My son resides in MN. My divorce stipulates that I pay child support until he reaches 18 or majority. I need to know what majority means, as he turned 18 in March 2001 and graduates high school June 2001. Do have to have termination papers? Any help would be appreciated.

Under Arizona law, child support is paid until the child turns 18, or graduates highschool, whichever is later.

Since he has now graduated, you no longer owe support (so long as you are current through June). If the support is being taken out of your paycheck, you should immediately file a Motion to Terminate Wage Assignment. We can certainly assist you in doing so.

If the money is not being taken out of your check, and you instead were making the payments yourself each month, then no formal steps really need to be taken (again, so long as you are current).
