I am legally divorced she restored my maiden name, do I have to change back to maiden name?

No. That is the default (usual) action but it is not required. You can file with the court for a name change, which is a separate proceeding. You likely will be granted it especially if it is another name you previously held and/or you don't have any criminal background that would lead a judge to think it would be used for illegal purposes.
