long distance divorce?
I've been in the U.S for eight years now and planning to get married here. I'm married in the phillipines and she has moved on with her life. she said its okey with her if I want to get married here. do I still need to file a divorce?

Yes, if you are validly married in the Phillipines, you must get divorced here before you can marry again. The process can be quite simple if your first wife agrees to cooperate with the process. It will take approximately 90 days to complete if there are no complicating factors.
