marital seperation

My husband has been sent to a year in jail and I want to claim his belongings from a girl's house he was staying with. How do I legally go about this.

Since you are still married, all property purchased during marriage is presumtively community property, thus giving you the right to take possession. Send written notice of your claim and suggest a time to pick up the items.
