Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

marriage/divorce

In 2001 I was married in Wash. state. Our marraige licence was completed and signed in my wifes past married name-Webb. Now going thru divorce, I find out her name was legally changed to LeClaire a few months prior to our marrage. Was our marriage legal and how does that financially affect any divorce settlement? Thanks!

PS-no kids/custody involved

Re: marriage/divorce

You should seek the advice of an attorney in Washington to determine if signing an incorrect name to a marriage license essentially voids the license.
