Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
Can the mother of the child put child support on me even tho it has been 5 years since the baby was born? I still do not know if the child is mine? If we do go to court and I am the father would I have to pay child support for the 5 years and till shes 18 or from now till shes 18?

She can establish support dating back to the birth of the child and seek reimbursement for medical costs associated with the birth. However, she does have to establish paternity. So, if you contest paternity or you just are not sure, the court will order a DNA test. If you are the father, you will have to pay until your child is emancipated, which is graduation from high school or 18, whichever is later.
Make sure you talk to an experienced lawyer if she does seek child support.

Arizona typically will limit her ability to request back child support to the preceding three years only. You do have the right to request genetic testing.
