Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

How can I move out of state when I know the father will not agree. We have joint custody and I am trying to move out of state and I want to know the process I have the moving packet should I just fill that out and file it? Please if someone can get back to me.

Your first option is to simply file a "Petition to Allow Relocation". Then, your ex must be served, and a hearing will be set.

OR, if you have primary custody, you can send him a certified letter, at least 60 days in advance, and force HIM to file an objection to your move.

These are just the simple answers.............. there is much more to consider. We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gloria or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation
