Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
Help! Can I move out of state with my kids
I am divorced and I have sole legal custody of my kids. My ex has visitation twice a week during the afternoons and overnight every other weekend. Can I move out of state?

According to ARS 25-408, if you want to move out of state or more than 100 miles within state, you either need the written consent of the other parent or permission of the court. To get the court's permission, you must be able to show that the relocation is in the best interests of the children.
We offer a free initial consultation, so if you want to discuss this matter further, please contact our office to schedule a time to meet with one of our attorneys regarding the details of your situation.

Not without following a very specific procedure outlines by statute.
I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.
Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.
