Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Moving out of state

I have physical custody of a joint cus. case. I want to move to Arizona in the summer of 2001 and would like to know if this is going to be possible? What do I have to do? This would be a very positive move for the children and I.

Re: Moving out of state

You must either secure the biological father's consent or a court order to move a child out of state. If you were to relocate without either you could subject yourself to charges of parental kidnapping. If consent cannot be obtained the court will examine numerouse issues to determine whether the move would benefit the child. the court would also need to adress other issues ie support, visitation, travel expenses after a move. This is a fairly complex matter of law therefore I advise you retain an attoreny. if the matter is in Worcester County, Iwould be glad to discuss a representation agreement and fees.
