Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
My ex is moving, it is in the same town but he has given me no information...just told our kids that by the time he has them again they will be in a new house....what rights do I have? He has mentioned that he wants to move out of state and I am concerned.

Perhaps we could start with a demand letter (or email) to him demanding the information. I would expect your current Court orders require advance notice of a change of address. We could include in the letter notice to him that you object to any out of state relocation.
If you believe he is attempting or planning to move out of state, you can and should immediately file a Petition to block such from occurring. There is a very specific statute in Arizona which requires certain steps before h can move out of state (or more than 100 miles) with the children, including 60 days advance written notice by certified mail (restricted return receipt). even if he stays within 100 miles, his move could require a modification to the current orders.
We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options.
One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.
Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gina or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
