Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

I am a non-custodial parent, continuing to pay child support via wage assignment (garnishment of a portion of my fixed Social Security disability insurance payments). All my children are of majority and emancipated, but ostensibly I have an arrears only case open. The state agency AZ Dept. of Child Support Enforcement (AZ Dept. of Economic Security) has consistently bungled the accounting and multiple modifications. Now that I fall into the category of arrears only, they will not me...help me, give me information, accountings, audits, etc. The court that ordered the payments, modifications etc does not have any payment records. Apparently AX contracts thi out to a private agency (Maximus, Inc, I think). I have been treated rudely, abrasively and menly by th individuals at this agency AND I am unable to get information. They treat father as . There seems to be no accountability or oversight. Are they immune from a law suit... I have contacted the State Ombudsperson, the Attorney Generals Office, The Governors office all, so far to no avail....

We can, through the Clearinghouse records, help you establish exactly what arrears may be owed, or determine if there has been an overpayment. Once we know what the figures are, we can then take steps to quash the Order of Assignment when appropriate.

Please come in soon. One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Paige or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
