Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
Notice of Default Hearing Date
After reconciling with my spouse after a year separation, he decided to contact his attorney to proceed with the divorce (papers had been filed but not finalized). I was not notified about the DATE of the DEFAULT HEARING, in fact, it was a complete shock and I found out quite by accident -- is this legal? And if it is, what are my repurcussions? He claims that he will get everything he asks for at the default hearing because I didn't respond to a filing MONTHS earlier. I didn't respond because we were reconciling. I am a stay at home mother with a very small part-time income. Certainly not enough $ for an attorney -- I think I am up a creek without a paddle.
