Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

I have a parenting plan of joint custody and the following is stated about babysitting:

"Ask other parent if he/she wants to take care of children. Each parent agrees to consider the other parent as a care-provider for the minor children before making other arrangements.

My girlfriend took the boys to a birthday party and she had a fit. While I am almost always present, occassionally she will take them to a sporting event when they are with me and I will do something with one of the other boys.

She has requested that my girlfriend has no alone time with the boys or attend any of their events such as sports, plays, etc, as she is not a parent. This is ridiculous in my opinion as we are trying to act as a family unit and give the boys a sense of stability. Can she take me back to court over such demands?

She can of course ATTEMPT to take you back to Court, but I am not sure a Judge would be terribly concerned over the situation as you have described it.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options regarding these issues.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gina or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
