I have been paying alimony to my ex wife from my social security in calif for 10 yrs. How can I terminate this? I am 75 years old and am unable to pay for my own medical

You would need to check the terms of the divorce decree. Was the alimony (now more commonly terms spousal maintenance or spousal support) made non-modifiable? If so, it cannot be changed in amount or terminated early. If it was permitted to be modified, you would need to file for a modification in the state where it was granted. They may agree to transfer the matter to Arizona for your convenience and that of the ex-wife, depending on where she lives.
If it is an Arizona case, we can file a Petition to Terminate or Modify Spousal Maintenance. If it is a California case, you must seek counsel from an attorney licensed in California.
