Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Personal Jurisdiction and division of community property in Az

I reside in Thailand (since 5/06). My wife and I resided here as man and wife form 5/06 until 9/06. We lived in Az from 5/77 til 5/06. She is now sueing me for divorce in Az. I was served papers in Thailand. Can she get a settlement of comm. property (esp. state pension) without serving me in Az? (please excuse location given as Vietnam=-=close as I could come to Thailand which is not on the list)

Re: Personal Jurisdiction and division of community property in Az

Yes, she can maintain jurisdiction in Arizona by personally serving you elsewhere. If Arizona has proper jurisdiction, then all property and debts can be divided under Arizona community property law.
