Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Do I have a recourse? I was the custodial parent for 9yrs without the benefit of making this arrangement legal. I did not receive child support from the mother and did not sue her for support the entire 9yrs. The agreement that I parent the child 5 days a week and she had visitation 2 days per week. This arrangement was mutually agreed upon. Now I have been sued for child support and arearages because we never made our mutual agreed upon change modified in the courts. The judge followed the original court ordered visitation and child support that originally existed. I was unable to afford an attorney so went through this gruelling case without the help of counsel. The child is 13yrs old and has stated in the conciliation hearing that he prefers living with me, his dad. Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely; Ronald K Crawford

What was the original court ordered visitation and child support? That information was left out and is key. But regardless, if you are not happy with the court's ruling you can always ask for a reconsideration/set aside of the order.
