Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
Restraining order
Do I have to be notified by any legal authority that I have a restraing order against me, or can that person falsely accuse me of breaking an order that I didn't know existed?

Re: Restraining order
An Order of Protection is not valid until it is properly served. This means you would have to be served by a sheriff/police officer or a registered process or another person statutorily entitled to serve process before the Order is in effect. The person who has the order against you cannot serve you. After you have been served, the process server files an Affidavit of Service with the court in the issuing jurisdiction.
