Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

separation - child vustody/visitation

My wife left with our twin 4 year old daughters. I want to reconcile, she is not sure yet, in meantime, I want to make sure that if it does not work out, that I have done everything I should have to ensure an amicable custody split if it ever comes to that. Can you suggest what I should be doing and what kind of environment I should be creating? She is not making it easy for me to see our girls and I want to know what rights I have and also want to make sure that a pattern has been created in the event we do not reconcile? What can I do?

Re: separation - child vustody/visitation

First of all you should be gathering copies of all documents regarding assets and debts. Don't let her simply run up bills and things because she feels like it. Consider closing credit cards and such.

As for your children, she has no right to dictate your access and I would remind her of that. If she is not allowing you equal access you might want to think hard about getting an action filed.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to assist.
