Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

service on party in military

My exhusband is in the military, stationed in Japan. I have filed for a child support hearing, but I need to have him served. How can I serve him in Japan?

One way is certified international mail, restricted return receipt. Another is to ask him to "accept service", where he signs a document before a notary or notary equivalent acknowledging receipt of the necessary documents.

You also maybe could contact his JAG office on the base to arrange for service.

If you want assistant with the overall support modification matter, please contact us. We can absolutely help. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail. However, I would not want to do so only to discuss service of process.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.
