Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Single mother free to relocate with her child if biol. father has never lived wi

Single mother wondering if there are any custody problems associated with moving out of state. Father did not want child, never lived with mother, refuses visitation, but argues he still has ''rights''. Does mother have right to leave with child, or does biological father have some say as to child's whereabouts. Father does not pay child support.

Arizona does have a statute that must be complied with before moving out of state. I would guess that Father has very little ability to prevent your move. However, given that, it might still be preferable to abide by the statute in Order to remove all doubt.

I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Audrey to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. I look forward to talking with you.
