Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
My sister-in-law is not allowing her 2 kids to spend time with our family or none of my husbands family at all. The reason she states is because she wants us to take all of her kids even her 3 step children ( but of course I beleive there's more to it,it's too complicated to get into). On behalf of my husband's siblings and my mother-in-law are there any rights that we have to visit with them or have them visit us ? It's not like we are bad people or live bad lifestyles, so we don't understand and have tried on many occasions to talk and reason with her. So basically we just want to know if we have any legal rights to visit with them?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Arizona recognizes a Grandparent's right to access, which can be pursued in Court, but not siblings.
We can certainly help the grandparent consider and then pursue her options. One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.
Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gina or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
