Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
My son & his fiancee just ended their relationship & they have a 4 yr. old daughter together. What are my son's parental rights and/ or obligations for child support?

Each parent has a duty to support their child. Your son should file to establish paternity, custody and child support. If mom is the primary caretaker right now, any monies your son sends should be noted as child support.
He has the right to seek custody and parenting time. Child support will need to be established. I would need to know more to determine whether she owes him or he owes her.
We can certainly help him consider and then pursue your options. This is obviously a very important matter, and he should not go in alone.
One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss his matter in detail.
Please have him call us directly to discuss the specifics of the matter, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.
