stop child support

my kids are 21 and 19 , how do i stop child support

Thank you for your inquiry.

I am unsure whether you are the "paying" parent or the "receiving" parent, but the procedure for stopping the support is the same either way.

If the child support is being withheld from your paycheck, you can file a request for to stop the order of assignment. You would also file a request for simplified modification based on emancipation.

Both of these processes will go much faster if both parents participate in filing the documents, but it can be done by either parent. There will be a $61 filing fee involved.
