Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
submitting uninsured medicals bills statute of limitations in AZ
Is there a statute of limitation for a custodial parent to submit uninsured medical bills to the non custodial parent in AZ. Mother is ordered to provide insurance and father is ordered to pay 40% of uninsured costs. Mother just submitted 9 years of bills never before seen by father. StepMother provides insurance for child and mother refuses to use it or coordinate with current insurance.

The child support guidelines provide that parties should submit proof of payment within 180 days of incurring such costs and the other party is required to pay within 45 days thereafter. Refer to your child support orders or decree to see if there is any other language in there. That would govern over the issue. If there is no specific language about time then the guidelines would apply.
