un-wed custody-parental rights

i have two minor children with the same man. we split up in arkasas, i took the children and he moved to arizona.i have now moved to arizona to try to work things out and keep him involved with the girls, i am wondering if i decide to move back to arkansas, since we were never married can he stop me or take the children? also what rights are given to him being unmarried as far as custody? and are they diffrent in arizona than they are in arkansas?

If he has never sought Court orders, then he really has no right to stop you from moving. He really has no rights of any kind until he gains Court orders. However, your actions can always be brought up later with respect to relocation, allowing him access, etc.
