Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

unwilling to pay divorce settlement

My ex and i were divorced 5 months ago. In the divorce he was ordered to pay back $5000 for a loan from my grandfather, $1000 for a loan from my mother, and the balance due on a car he allowed to be reposessed while we were separated (the car was solely in my name.) The balance due on the car at that time was $11,000. He stopped speaking to me a month after the divorce and he has no intention of paying what he was orderd to in the divorce. The car is continuing to ruin my credit and is collecting interest everyday. What can I do? He makes good money, he just refuses to pay.

We can absolutely help. You can seek a judgment against him, adding attorney's fee and interest and then garnish his wages at work.

I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.

File a motion to enforce the divorce decree and if you retain an attorney you may be able to recover the attorney fees and costs of litigation.
