Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

My wife is currently in a battered women's shelter with our kids and she not letting me see my kids. She is claiming I hit her and the kids and I never have. We both have recently stopped doing drugs known as 'Bath Salts' and have been clean and sober for about three weeks. The drugs, however, have caused hallucinations and she believes I have done things that I never have. She said she wants a divorce and full custody last I knew. I don't want a divorce but would rather try to work things out. I would like to know what I should do.

You have the right to delay any divorce filing by filing a "Petition for Conciliation". Otherwise, you certainly should seek an expereinced attorney to assist if she does file for divorce.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options. This is obviously a very important matter, and you should not go in alone.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
