Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

My wife has joint custody of the kids with her ex husband. He's always taking them out of school when running errands instead of calling her to watch them. When trying to discuss issues he yells, insults, and disparages her even in front of the children. He isn't helping potty train the 3 year old. We are having numerous other problems. What can we do? Can we request sole custody to her?

Yes, you can file to seek for sole custody, AND for orders to address Father's particular behaviors.

In 2010, the Arizona Court of Appeals ruled that when Fathers behavior was making joint parenting problematic, this can warrant a change to sole custody.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options for modification.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gina or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
