Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

My Ex wife is trying to open a 20 year old final divorce decree, she want's to have it ameneded so she can try and get some of my military rerirement that was not awarded her in the divorce. She's using a Arizona Statute 25-318(D). I've only recived a letter from her lawyer stating if I don't volunteer to accept this, they are going to file a petition with te court? Does she have a chance at this frivilous law suit?

Your retirement MAY be at risk. In Arizona, the parties continue to own any asset which was not divided in the divorce decree as joint tenants.

I NEED TO SEE YOUR DIVORCE DECREE. I am hoping there is "catch all" language which would defend their claim.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options for responding to his demand letter.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
