Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
My wife became pregnant by someone else. What rights does he have to the child. If any what can I do stop him from seeing her?

Although the law presumes that a child born during a marriage is the legal child of the husband, if someone else is the biological father, that person can file a paternity action to assert visitation rights to the child, and that person may also be responsible for paying child support. Another option might be for the biological father to consent to you adopting the child so he no longer has any legal ties to her and she would be considered "yours" as though you were her biological parent. I recommend you speak with an attorney about the details of the situation to discuss your options. We offer a free initial consultation.
He has the right to seek custody and/or access to the child. He will also have the responsibiity to contribute to the support of the minor child.
Unfortunately, without her agreement, I am not sure YOU can prohibit their contact.
We can certianly help you consider your options. One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.
