Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Arizona

I have a creditor that is contacting me daily in regards to a payday loan that my friend took out. She used me as a reference and now they are calling ME saying I will have to go to court and to enjoy my last weekend of freedom because they're going to lock me up for fraud and for being a coconspirator. Not knowing anything about the law I am a little freaked out right now. How can a company call me and threaten me when I am nothing more then a reference? Can someone please help?

If you are a reference only and did not agree to repay the debt, you will not be liable for it.
