Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Arizona

Motion to Produce

My husband and I are being sued by his ex-girlfriend for a few loans she said she gave him lat year. She provided no details about how she came up with that amount and we have no idea where she got it from. He has 20 days to answer. How do we file a motion to produce and does that extend his 20 days?

Re: Motion to Produce

Filing a Motion to Produce does not extend the time to file an Answer to the Complaint. You should file an Answer which can admit or deny each allegation set forth in the Complaint. Approximately 40 days (depending on court) after filing your Answer, both parties are to exchange Disclosure Statements which are to include all documentation and list each witnesses each party expects to use at trial. The information you are seeking must be disclosed in the Plaintiff's Disclosure Statement.
