Legal Question in Health Care Law in Arizona

First of all I want to say that I have no priors. I am a cert. caregiver and worked at a place last November for about a week. I didn't really like the job and my aunt had lined me up with a job where she worked. Anyway, some Hydrocodones came up missing and everyone was questioned even me. The Cops came to my house because my son was sick and didnt want to take him to work to talk to them. I was new along with another new person and I felt uncomfortable so I never went back. Now it's 6 months later and I get a letter saying that I am being charged with 2 counts of Misdemeanors for Theft and Possession of a Controlled Drug. I can see how it may have looked bad on my part BUT I don't think it is fair to just ASSUME that I stole them! I am afraid and not sure what is going to happen. Like I said, I have never been in trouble before and have been a Cert. Caregiver for about 7 yrs without prior incident. I just want some input. Thank You so much and I appreciate it.

It sounds like you need to talk to an attorney. If you can't afford one they will offer you a public defender.
