Admin process for green Crad

My US citizen brother sponsord me for green card in 1993. In 2005, I was called for GC interview along with my family in Islamabad. All my under 21 kids got visa with me and US embassy in Islamabad are holding my Husband's visa. Every time i contact them, they say it is under admin process in US. It has been 3 years since I got visa and they are still holding my Husband's visa.

Is there any wy I can speed-up this process from US?

Re: Admin process for green Crad

I presume that you are now in the United States, yes? The first thing you should do is contact the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, the immigrant visa section. I can tell you right now that there is a delay there, but you can at least ask them what is taking so long anyway. The chances are you will get an unsatisfactory answer. So, the next step is to find out who your Congressman is in your district, and complain to his office. Try to do this is writing and by phone. There is no reason for the delay for your husband unless he has some kind of criminal conviction, or is inadmissible for some reason or other. I can tell you this: most males over the age of 14 and under 50 are going to be subjected to tremendous scrutiny which is, in part, the reason for delaying many males who apply for visas. On the other hand, if he does not have anything in his record that makes him inadmissible to the U.S., then a Congressman ought to be able to speed things up a bit. Remind your congressman that in two years you can apply for citizenship, and your vote will count! Good luck. If you have difficulties, give my office a call and we can do a phone consultation, okay?
