Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona

Divorcing before 2 year period is up

I moved from New Zealand with my 4yr old son to marry my husband. We have only been married 11 months and are now separated and soon to be filing for divorce. My adjustment of status and work visa has been filed but is pending on my husband submitting 2 more forms of evidence required. He is now refusing to provide them out of spite due to the break up of the relationship. I have 30 days to submit them before my application is denied. Can a court order him to submit them or what are my options? I do not wish to leave the US, I want to stay here now and create a life for myself and my son who has dual citizenship. Can you please give me some advice of what I need to do. Thank you

If you have reached the conditional green card stage, you may be able to, switch tracks, and self-petition, on the basis of "good faith marriage which ended in divorce" This would require ample evidence that the two of you had resided together and had a bona fide marriage prior to the divorce. I would strongly recommend seeking the services of an immigration attorney.
