Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona
Extend stay in US when having a new baby
My name is Bui. I am from Vietnam. I came to US as B2 visa. My stay in US will be expired in mid of February, 2008. I am just having a new baby with a U.S citizen. I would like to seek your advice to be able to extend my stay in US another 6 months. So I can have more time to file for child support, to apply US passport and VISA for my child to travel to Vietnam. And also My baby is only a week old; it is too young for her to have such as a long trip from US to Vietnam. Thank you.

Re: Extend stay in US when having a new baby
It's questionable whether they'll extend your B2 stay in the U.S. due to birth of a U.S. citizen baby since they may now presume immigrant intent on your part.
If you marry the U.S. citizen, you can of course apply for your own lawful permanent residence through the marriage.
