Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona
Illegal Stay and marriage
Hi - my Mexican boyfriend has been living in the U.S. illegally and I really want him to get his residency. If I marry him, how long would the process take or is there any other way to get him his green card? Will he be deported for living here illegally in the first place after we get married? Thank You!

Re: Illegal Stay and marriage
You can apply for him as a spouse of a USC (if that is your status) and the process will take approximately a year.
As the immediate relative of a USC, he has certian advantages over other applicants which can be discussed in a consultation.

Re: Illegal Stay and marriage
The answer to your questions depend, to a large degree, on the specific facts of your case. Some important considerations concern, among other things, how your Mexican boyfriend arrived in the U.S. and whether or not you are a U.S. citizen.
