Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona

Here illegally and confused...

I came to the US in october 1988. my mother became a resident right away. She petitioned for my brothers and me (Form I130 Immigrant Petiton For Relative, Fiance ''E'', or Orphan) back in November 1994. Before turning 21 yrs old I fell into section of unmarried child under 21 of permanent resident, 203(a)(2)(A) INA...but since turning 21 I dont know what category i fall into. I just want someone to let me know if I am now eligible to file for Adjust of Status. I would be satisfied for the moment if I could just get a work permit... please help me... the INS website is confusing to me, no help there what so ever. And I am living with my girlfriend who is a US citizen and we want to marry but I dont know which would be the best route to go..? Please help
