Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona
U.S. male citizen marrying a female citizen of Mexico
I am a U.S. citizen, I plan to marry a Mexican-born woman who is a citizen of Mexico in about 6 months. She has a passport and visa, and is free to legally travel into the U.S. and she has done so many times over the last 6 months to visit me regularly. We plan to live in the U.S. after our marriage. Will a legal marriage in Mexico be recognized fully in the U.S. or should we do our legal marriage here in the U.S. rather than in Mexico? Also what needs to be done in terms of legal paperwork to have her able to legally reside here with me permanently once married?
