Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona
My uncle is a legal alien with a green card. ICE came to his house and took him. Is this legal? He has a criminal history but over 20 years ago. What can we do? They said he can be detained for over 2 weeks. Also this happened in Arizona. Please help.

ICE can definitely arrest your uncle if he has an old criminal conviction of a certain kind. You must retain an experienced immigration attorney right away. An attorney can attempt to have him released on bond, which should be the case given how long ago this happened, unless of course there are some other criminal issues or his permanent residence status has not been renewed.
